When you make Willamette View your home, suddenly the best of Oregon is yours to explore. Our campus just south of Portland gives you unique access to all of the natural beauty, cultural life and geographic diversity this state has to offer, from the dramatic Pacific coastline to Portland’s nationally-acclaimed restaurant scene.

Take off on your own or join other residents for a winery tour in the Willamette Valley, a scenic jaunt to Mt. Hood, or to discover one of the state’s many hiking and bike trails. No matter where you’re from, there’s no better place to expand your life than Oregon.

Mountains
Visit WPA-built Timberline Lodge on snowcapped Mt. Hood, an easy day trip from Willamette View. Enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking -- or simply take in the view from Oregon’s highest peak.

Coast
The Oregon coast encompasses sleepy villages, working waterfronts, artsy beach towns and top-flight golf resorts. From Willamette View, you can be in Seaside or Cannon Beach in time for lunch.

Portland
National food critics can’t stop raving about Portland’s inventive farm-to-table food scene, but there’s more to this trend-setting city -- from its landmark City of Books to dozens of craft breweries to boundless options for entertainment and dining.

Rivers
At Willamette View, you’re in view of Portland’s defining river, the Willamette (of course). Also nearby are the Columbia and Clackamas rivers, top spots for fishing, kayaking and rafting. We can connect you with an expert guide who can help you catch (and in some cases, release) your limit of native salmon and other fish.

Cultural Life
Willamette View gives you easy access to a wide range of cultural venues and performances, including the Oregon Symphony, Portland Opera, Portland Center Stage, Artists Repertory Theater, Chamber Music Northwest, Oregon Ballet and the Portland Youth Philharmonic.

The Gorge
Watch the windsurfers who come from all over the world to ride the currents in Hood River; pick apples and pears from fragrant family orchards along the Fruit Loop; or amble through the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, just an hour’s drive from Willamette View.

Shopping
Clackamas Town Center features dozens of stores, a 20-screen cinema and several restaurants, only a few miles from Willamette View. A short drive into Portland offers your choice of upscale shopping districts, from The Pearl and “Trendy-Third” in Northwest to the funky Hawthorne District in Southeast.
